Vacuum campaigns are renowned for being full of convoluted, dull tech specs. As the unconsidered underdogs in the UK vacuum market, Samsung needed to do something disruptive to challenge its brand perception and, well… suck up the competition.

So, we attempted to deliver the world’s most powerful stick vacuum to the most powerful man in vacuuming, Sir James Dyson, on his 78th Birthday. Capturing the playful ploy in an undercover piece of content spearheaded by renowned YouTuber and prankster, Zac Alsop. 

But the celebrations didn’t stop there – the next day we threw Mr D. a party at Samsung KX  (spoiler: he didn’t turn up), giving away 78 vacuums – completely free – in his honour. It’s what he would’ve wanted…
